Step into leadership as our assistant medical director. TeamHealth has an opportunity for a pediatric emergency medicine (PEM) physician to join our team in Summit, New Jersey. We are seeking a fellowship-trained, board certified or board eligible pediatric emergency medicine physician to step into a high-impact leadership role as assistant medical director at Overlook Medical Center.
This is a rare opportunity to work in a dedicated pediatric emergency department (ED) within a nationally acclaimed hospital, while advancing your career in clinical leadership. In this dual-role, you'll share AMD responsibilities across both the adult and pediatric EDs, reporting directly to the chair of emergency medicine (EM) and receiving hands-on mentorship from both the chair and pediatric medical director.

Opportunity Overview

Must be board certified/board eligible, fellowship-trained PEM physician
1099 independent contractor model with competitive compensation and AMD stipend
15,000 annual pediatric ED visits
8-bed pediatric ED with 24/7 PEM physician coverage (12-hour shifts: 7a to 7p/7p to 7a)
12 hours of advanced practice clinician support daily
Dedicated pediatric-trained nursing team
Outstanding subspecialty and pediatric support
Epic EMR
