Reports to: Store Manager and/or Co-Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Empower Customers with Personalized Experiences:

• Model exemplary Customer Experience Leader (CEL) behavior and guide team members to achieve store goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
• Ensure a positive in-store environment by maintaining DSW’s standards and addressing customer feedback promptly.
• Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing tasks, store cleanliness, and compliance with maintenance protocols.

Ensure Consistent Positive Customer Interactions:

• Track performance metrics and communicate progress effectively to the team.
• Assist with audits, product donations, transfers, and other operational requirements.
• Collaborate with the store leadership team to adhere to policies and procedures.

Leverage In-Store and Digital Services:

• Participate in inventory activities such as freight receipt, product placement, and markdowns.
• Support omni-channel initiatives like Charge/Send and Buy Online Pick Up In Store (BOPIS).
• Communicate supply needs to maintain efficient operations.

Prioritize Customer and Associate Safety:

• Maintain a safe environment for both customers and staff, ensuring equipment is in good condition.
• Address associate and customer concerns promptly, seeking additional support as needed.
• Assist in managing payroll and timekeeping responsibilities.
• Provide feedback on employee performance and report any HR issues to the Store Manager.

Foster a Fun and Energetic Workplace:

• Recognize and appreciate associates using company recognition programs.
• Support the team through training and coaching initiatives.
• Complete other tasks assigned by the Store Manager or other leaders.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and hold team members accountable.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed.
• Proficient with technology used for customer engagement (Register, iPhone, etc.).
• Physical ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing or walking, including lifting up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Capability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl often.

Experience:

• At least 2 years of workforce experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
