Aerotek is hiring immediately for a foreman in Worcester, MA area. We are seeking a qualified Heavy Equipment Operator to oversee and manage commercial projects, specializing in site work, water/sewer projects, and the construction of playgrounds and parks. This position is full time offering competitive pay and benefits!

Job Duties:

• Source and calculate on-site bulk materials accurately.
• Forecast properly to ensure materials and equipment are available for the next phase.
• Operate all heavy equipment efficiently.
• Verify grades and ensure precision.
• Maintain proper upkeep of onsite equipment.
• Open and close project sites daily and conduct daily safety meetings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications.
• Communicate effectively with subcontractors and project managers.
• Advise and maintain project schedules.
• Work under the direction of the Project Manager.
• Implement and uphold safety protocols onsite.

Essential Skills:

• Experience in construction and general labor.
• Proficiency in site work and heavy equipment operation.
• Ability to lead crews of 2 or more.
• Experience managing subcontractors.
• Skills in blueprint reading and execution.
• Proficient in operating excavators, dozers, and grading equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• OSHA 10 certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• DOT medical certificate.
• 3-5 years of experience with underground utilities.
• 3-5 years of experience with concrete flatwork.
• 3-5 years of experience operating heavy equipment such as mid-size excavators, front loaders, dozers, and skid steers.
• Hoisting License with a minimum requirement of 2A, 1C.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Worcester, MA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
