Under limited supervision, operators will be expected to: maintain proper bin levels, manage production throughput and quality standards, sanitation upkeep, managing and adjusting process equipment as needed, and to complete any necessary tasks. Operators must also have additional knowledge of the plant flow in order to make swift changes for production rate maximization.

Essential Job Functions:

• Conducts job tasks with a positive, safe attitude and maintains a safe work record.
• Maintains a good attendance record.
• Work rotating shifts of various lengths including weekends and holidays.
• Maintains good communication with all plant personnel.
• Maintain sorting equipment to ensure quality acceptable quality performance.
• Maintain production rates.
• Ability to understand and perform assigned job tasks easily and independently while flexible enough to work in team settings.
• Maintains good housekeeping and completes sanitation duties and paperwork as required.
• Conducts daily inspections, reporting any problems noted.
• Continuously monitors and cleans equipment for optimal performance and quality.
• Review production records and labeling for accuracy.
• Perform quality checks as required.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education Required: High School/GED

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities:

Education/Training: All required ADM safety, food safety, quality and environmental training. Participate in company planned operations training. Forklift training required.

Experience: Employee's safety record. Communications/Interpersonal skills. Job knowledge. Positive contribution to team. Quality of work. Productivity. Attendance and Punctuality. Length of service with ADM (may be considered when other factors are equal). Housekeeping and sanitation habits.

Working Conditions:

Ambient conditions Hot or cold Temperatures. Time Spent: Inside and Outside. Humidity: 50% - 90%. Atmosphere: Dust (Peanut - known allergen) and odor, Dirty environments. Protective clothing required: Uniforms, hardhats, earplugs, safety glasses, hair restraints, steel-toed shoes, gloves and safety harness may be required based on task performed. Job specific PPE. Work overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Occasionally move objects that weigh up to 55 LBS. Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Move from area to area. Transport Material. Position self to conduct work at various heights. Rotate body. Crouch, squat and bend. Ascend / descend from various levels (climb ladders and stairs). Repetitive use of hands. Use broom, shovel and others tools to complete assignments.

The pay for this position is expected to be: $14.50 with an additional $1.50 shift differential when on nights.
