Operations Supervisor

This is a full time working supervisory position overseeing the efforts of the housekeeping and event set up crews.

Major responsibilities include:

• Working supervision of housekeeping and event set up staff
• Overseeing proper use and care of equipment
• Overseeing collection of data from staff for department reports
• Inspecting work for proper execution
• Training of staff in best practices of facility cleaning and event set up to include use of cleaning chemicals, light cleaning machinery, forklift, etc.
• Assisting in set up, tear down and servicing of events
• Responsible for attending organization and planning meetings for event-related activities
• All other duties/responsibilities as assigned

Working conditions include a fast paced environment requiring multi-tasking of responsibilities and overlapping deadlines. Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Must have the ability to walk extended distances and climb stairs. Physical requirements include the ability to lift 50 - 75 lbs.

Knowledge, skills & abilities include:

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• 2-3 years supervisory experience preferred
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work under limited supervision and to interact with all levels of staff including senior management
• Ability to work long and irregular hours that will vary dependent upon event functions and will include day, evening, weekends and holidays
• Mechanical aptitude helpful
