Summary:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide essential therapy services that enhance patients' quality of life. You will evaluate patients, establish goals, design tailored programs, and deliver treatments as directed by physicians, while ensuring comprehensive record-keeping. Collaborate with technicians and support staff, take charge of occupational fees, join educational initiatives, and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Consistently uphold Administrative and Departmental policies, demonstrating professionalism through appropriate behavior, attire, attitude, attendance, confidentiality, and reliability.
• Conduct patient care activities aimed at maximizing independence and functionality, adhering to ethical standards of occupational therapy.
• Exhibit clinical competencies in occupational therapy techniques that enhance patient care quality.
• Engage in established communication channels both within and between departments to support organizational objectives.
• Timely maintain all required documentation in accordance with departmental guidelines.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of occupational therapy services offered by the department.
• Participate in peer reviews, case record assessments, and utilization reviews as needed.
• Ensure the safety and proper operation of therapeutic equipment.

Requirements:

Education/Skills

• Basic computer proficiency.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.

Experience

• Entry-level candidates are welcome; any experience in occupational therapy is a plus.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Current Texas licensure/registration/certification with proof provided to the hospital.
• BCLS certification.
