NPI CapEx Engineering Program Manager

The NPI CapEx EPM is responsible for coordinating equipment requirements between Engineering and contract manufacturers in Asia to support engineering prototype builds and development through the entire product life cycle (up to hand-off to mass production). This EPM coordinates with cross-functional partners to ensure program equipment needs are met. Program managers are confident leaders capable of working with multi-functional teams to identify risks, explore solutions, reach consensus, and execute mitigations quickly. This requires an in-depth understanding of new product development and manufacturing processes.

An Apple EPM must respond quickly to changes in overall goals, schedule, and architecture. EPMs are fearless leaders who work with cross-functional teams to identify risks, explore solutions, reach consensus, and execute mitigations efficiently. They also create project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure the team stays within budget in a dynamic environment.

Main Duties

• Drive cross-functional teams towards consensus of requirements
• Manage and drive in-region resources at contract manufacturers (typically in Asia) for procurement activities
• Build overall project budget, compile requests, and generate capitalization plans based on schedules
• Calculate ROI of process/equipment changes requested by OEM or internal teams
• Provide monthly/quarterly budget updates and capitalization plans
• Communicate equipment status to management
• Support product launch and sustaining activities with new product teams
• Understand cycle time impacts and adjust forecasts accordingly
• Verify demands and lead the business team to track equipment delivery
• Coordinate with vendors for setup, installation, repairs, and maintenance
• Respond quickly to changes in project goals, schedules, or architecture

Minimum Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in engineering, business, finance, or related discipline
• Knowledge of procurement, finance, and program development processes
• Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or test engineering
• Experience in new product development
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally

Apple offers a total compensation package including base pay, stock programs, benefits, and educational reimbursement. The salary range for this role is $141,800 to $258,600, depending on skills and experience. Benefits include medical and dental coverage, retirement plans, discounted products, and educational support. The role may also be eligible for bonuses, commissions, or relocation assistance.
