Anduril Industries is a defense technology company focused on transforming military capabilities with advanced technology, including AI, autonomy, and sensor fusion. We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead and manage a manufacturing engineering team, driving process improvements, ensuring quality, and supporting new product development and scaling.

Responsibilities

• Lead the manufacturing engineering team across product lines, from prototyping to full-scale production.
• Develop strategic plans to enhance manufacturing capabilities and incorporate new technologies.
• Own documentation such as work instructions and inspection plans for hardware manufacturing at scale.
• Collaborate with product development to ensure manufacturability and smooth transition to production.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve quality and throughput.
• Manage budgets and forecast manufacturing needs.
• Establish training and documentation programs to upskill the team.
• Promote a culture of innovation, teamwork, and accountability.
• Serve as the technical expert for manufacturing issues and support resolution.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for successful product launches.
• Manage vendor relationships for equipment and materials supply.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 5-7 years of manufacturing engineering experience, including 3+ years in a managerial role.
• Proven leadership in team management, product/process development, and cradle-to-grave ownership.
• Experience in process improvements within manufacturing.
• Strong attention to quality, detail, and mission assurance.
• Interest in manufacturing and continuous learning.
• Excellent project management and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on experience with hardware manufacturing processes (machining, soldering, assembly, etc.) is a plus.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to access to export-controlled information.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering, business, or related field.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in CAD and familiarity with automation and manufacturing technologies.
• Scripting experience in any language.

Salary Range: $142,000—$213,000 USD
