Sorter Operator/1st Shift/ $18/hr

The sorting operator provides support functions to keep the sorting line running smoothly. This is an entry level skillset and training can be done on the job.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Set-up multiple vision systems to sort products
2. Set-up rotary and vibratory bowls
3. Tape, label and palletize boxes
4. Support the making and feeding of kegs onto lines
5. Dump product into bulk hoppers
6. Drive a standup lift to move skids of product
7. Basic piece and time transactions on RF scanner
8. Replace labels and ribbons on label makers
9. Troubleshoot jams in bowls
10. Run boundary samples on the production lines
11. Meet schedules and timelines
12. Maintain a clean and safe work environment
13. Complete all paperwork the role requires
14. Follow all work instructions in the department

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Lift up to 50lb boxes repeatedly
• Overtime availability
• Ability to perform at high levels in a fast pace constantly changing environment
• Ability to work as part of a team

Personal Skills and Competencies:

• Experience with RF guns
• Basic computer skills
• Labeling experience
• Mechanical aptitude

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Tow motor experience
2. 5-7 years in a manufacturing environment
3. Strong communication skills
4. Experience with industrial sorting camera equipment

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
