Night Shift Construction Superintendent

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Night Shift Construction Superintendent to lead, direct, and coordinate the work of subcontractors and Turner trade labor. This role is essential in ensuring safety, timely schedule delivery, quality of work, and adherence to project budgets. The Superintendent will supervise Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, Interns, and trade labor within their area of responsibility.

Reports to: Project Superintendent, Project Manager or Project Executive.

*Note: This position requires working the night shift.*

Key Responsibilities:

• Make decisions regarding work performance related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control, and labor staffing.
• Promote coordinated project operations among assigned trades while resolving area-specific issues such as procedures, clarity in design, and scheduling of labor and equipment.
• Manage the site's overall safety program, ensuring subcontractor compliance with Turner standards and relevant safety regulations.
• Supervise and mentor Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and Interns, providing input for performance evaluations.
• Create schedules and establish work sequencing; develop and implement recovery plans to maintain the project schedule.
• Communicate effectively with owners and architects/engineers regarding field issues, investigating and resolving them as necessary.
• Oversee the billing process related to Work In Place (WIP) and manage monthly estimates of completed work, payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payment applications.
• Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the approved contract documents.

Salary Range: The estimated salary for this position is between $120,000.00 and $170,000.00 annually.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Aviation construction project experience is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of construction practices, scheduling, cost control procedures, and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and EH&S applications.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills.

Physical Demands: The physical requirements include climbing stairs, using construction elevators, and negotiating construction areas. Vision requirements include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Tasks may involve lifting/moving up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment: The work is primarily conducted on-site, exposing employees to moving mechanical parts, high places, outdoor conditions, and potential electrical hazards. Noise levels range from moderate to very loud.
