Microbiology Lab Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Microbiology Lab Supervisor to join a forward-thinking healthcare team. This leadership position offers the opportunity to oversee critical microbiology operations while ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency in the laboratory.

What Youll Do

• Supervise microbiology laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with all quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Perform and oversee laboratory analysis on specimens to support accurate diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention.
• Lead quality assurance initiatives, maintain documentation, and implement corrective actions for any non-conforming events.
• Manage inventory, prepare reagents, and reduce departmental waste/expenses.
• Troubleshoot test systems and equipment, escalating when necessary to maintain workflow.
• Assist with reviewing and updating lab procedures to ensure accreditation compliance (CAP, TJC, OSHA).
• Maintain strong communication across shifts and with leadership regarding any operational issues.
• Participate in staff meetings, task forces, and competency assessments.

What Were Looking For

• Bachelors Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Technology, or related field.
• ASCP (MLS or MT) certification or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 47 years of laboratory experience, with at least 3 years in a microbiology supervisor and/or manager role.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in Point of Care Services.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with infectious materials, chemicals, and equipment hazards.

• Salary Range: $40 $60 per hour
• Incentive: $5,000 sign-on bonus
