Leidos is looking for a skilled Network Load Balancing Engineer to support a significant IT contract with the Department of Defense (DoD). In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation, operation, and maintenance of load balancer technologies across global enterprise networks. Key responsibilities include updating technologies, optimizing performance, and applying essential system patches. This role encompasses both on-premises and cloud resources, and you'll collaborate within a team to ensure we meet mission requirements for our internal and external customers.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure SSL/TLS offloading and PKI authentication features of the F5 appliance are fully operational.
• Maintain regular backups of load balancing configurations and PKI certificates according to customer policies.
• Notify clients of impending PKI certificate expirations and assist with renewals as needed.
• Manage and troubleshoot load balanced IP address allocations.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to develop and implement technical solutions.
• Provide after-hours support to the IT Operations Center to troubleshoot service outages.
• Create and update documentation to assist IT Operations personnel in troubleshooting and triage efforts.

Key Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing F5 load balancer appliances in an enterprise setting.
• Strong understanding of standards, concepts, and tools for the management and monitoring of F5 appliances.
• Technical proficiency in backing up PKI certificates and appliance configurations.
• Expertise in managing and troubleshooting load balanced IP address spaces.
• Ability to work independently and effectively meet customer requirements.
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with team members.
• Familiarity with IT Service Management tools like ServiceNow.

Certifications

• Must meet DoDM IT System Admin Intermediate certification requirements (Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+ CE, GSEC, or higher).
• Must possess an F5 Certified Administrator (201) certification or higher.

Education

• Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's with 6 years.
• Equivalencies are accepted: Associate's degree with 10 years of related experience, or High School diploma with 12 years of relevant experience.

Security Clearance

• Due to the nature of our government contracts, U.S. Citizenship is required.
• TS/SCI with Poly is required for this role, or TS/SCI with a willingness to obtain and maintain a specific polygraph.

Pay Range: $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
