Position Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and support the network infrastructure by implementing technical solutions that scale and remove manual efforts from engineers.
• Create and review documentation and process regarding recurring issues, new standard operating procedures, knowledge transfer material, etc.
• Drive event deep dives for large-scale events, deliver high-quality documentation for the events and drive corrective actions to completion.
• Partner with the global network development engineering population to drive strategic initiatives that support the customer growth and reduce customer impacting events.
• Evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing network products or tools.
• Mentor junior engineers.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Networking, Networking, or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
• Employer will accept seven years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Bachelor's degree and five years of experience.
• Must have three years of experience in the following skills: major internet routing protocols; working in a Linux/Unix environment; and automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell, or Perl.
