Rate: 18-23/hr
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients, managing patient records, and assisting with administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical or dental office setting and possess strong communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the front desk- Verify patient information and update medical records- Collect co-pays and process insurance information- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient flow
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent- 2 years experience working in a medical or dental office setting preferred- Proficient in using office software systems- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment- Familiarity with phone systems and handling multiple phone lines- Understanding of HIPAA regulations
