JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant/Radiology Technician to support our patients and medical staff by providing exceptional care and assistance. You will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring they feel welcomed and supported.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Welcome patients warmly in waiting and examination areas.
- Keep patients informed about their wait times and next steps in their treatment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve patient concerns, seeking support in emergencies when necessary.
- Follow up with patients regarding their lab and x-ray results promptly.
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures as needed.
- Gather and document essential patient information, including vital signs and medical history.
- Help with patient transfers and assist during procedures under provider supervision.
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures while prioritizing safety and care standards.
- Ensure all equipment is functional, reporting any issues to management.
- Complete necessary documentation related to patient visits according to established protocols.
- Maintain a clean and stocked examination room.
- Adhere to infection control and patient confidentiality guidelines.
- Perform phlebotomy, injections, and laboratory procedures as per training and under provider direction.
REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in this role, candidates must have the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Medical Assistant Certification or equivalent experience.
- Valid State License to perform X-Rays.
- BLS Certification.
