Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our clinic's Infectious Disease Department. The role involves rooming patients, taking vitals, and entering data into the EPIC system.

Responsibilities

  Room patients and ensure smooth patient flow within the clinic.

  Take and record patient vitals accurately.

  n

• n

  Enter patient information and medical data into the EPIC system.

  n

• n

  Collaborate with the staff RN to provide comprehensive patient care.

• n

  Assist patients who are infected with a disease or those traveling to high-risk countries.

n

Essential Skills

n
• n

  Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.

  n
n
• n

  Certified Medical Assistant credential is required.

  n
n
• n

  Proficiency in EPIC electronic health records system.

  n
n
• n

  Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  n
n

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• n

  Experience in a teaching practice environment is advantageous.

  n
n
• n

  Strong patient care and communication skills.

  n
n

Work Environment

The Medical Assistant will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM in a vibrant clinic environment with 14 exam rooms. The practice sees 70-100 patients a day and is supported by a team of 9 Medical Assistants. This role is within a teaching practice, offering a dynamic and collaborative environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
