Medical Assistant Certified - University Village at CommonSpirit Health. Virginia Mason Medical Center and CHI Franciscan have united to provide patient-centered care across the Pacific Northwest.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers and other members of the health care team in the clinic with back-office and patient-related tasks to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Perform patient care procedures within the Medical Assistant scope of practice, including injections, EKGs, ear lavage, and blood draws.
• Measure patient vital signs (weight, height, blood pressure, pulse, respirations, temperature).
• Manage rooming and patient flow, including pre-visit preparation, assisting with the patient visit, and post-visit duties.
• Inform providers of schedule changes that impact patient flow; assist with front office activities and scheduling tasks; report test results as directed by the provider.
• Contribute to the Team Medicine approach and patient safety/quality improvements as part of the Virginia Mason Production System.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited medical assisting program, with Washington State Department of Health Medical Assistant Certified (CM)
• Knowledge of third-party payer requirements
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills; proficiency with PC applications
• One year Medical Assistant Certified experience preferred

Pay Range

$27.25 - $38.49/hour
