Mechanical Technician 2

Our client, a leader in Automotive manufacturing, is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join their team. As a Mechanical Technician, you will be part of the Engineering Support Department supporting manufacturing and testing operations.

Job Title: Mechanical Technician 2

Location: Warren, MI

Pay Range: $22-$24 per hour
Shift: Training on 1^st shift, 7AM – 3:30PM (6-8 weeks)
After training will move to 3^rd shift 

3^rd shift position
11PM – 7:30AM
Onsite, no remote

What's the Job?

• Modify, test, and repair machinery and equipment under the guidance of engineering staff or scientists.
• Prepare parts sketches, write work orders, and coordinate with outside contractors for parts fabrication.
• Draft detailed drawings or sketches for project completion or parts fabrication.
• Review project instructions and blueprints to determine test specifications, procedures, and objectives.
• Inspect drawings for clarity, accuracy, and adherence to specifications, making corrections as needed.

What's Needed?

• Associate's degree in engineering technology or a related field.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in mechanical testing, modification, or repair.
• Basic skills in making sketches, engineering drawings, and performing calculations.
• Knowledge of engineering science and technology applications.
• Experience with computer applications and design software related to engineering.
