Mechanical Engineer

We're seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong design and analysis skills to join a small, collaborative engineering team. You'll work on exciting new product development projects, designing mechanical systems and components using SolidWorks and validating them through FEA and thermal simulations in ANSYS.

Key Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems, assemblies, and machined components using SolidWorks
• Perform FEA and thermal simulations in ANSYS to validate and optimize designs
• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for manufacturing and assembly
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, electrical, and controls engineering
• Conduct design reviews and implement feedback to improve product performance and manufacturability
• Support prototype development, testing, and troubleshooting
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with engineering standards and best practices

Must-Have Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience (preferably in machinery or industrial equipment)
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and drafting
• Experience with ANSYS (or similar FEA tools) for structural and thermal analysis
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience in new product development
• Knowledge of injection mold design

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
