Position Level: This engineering role can be filled at either the Mid-level or Senior Engineer level. Please review the qualifications required below for each tier.
Expected Salary Range:
- Mid-Level - $90,000 - $110,000
- Senior Level - $117,000 - $143,000
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Your role will involve corporate governance and oversight to ensure the highest reliability of Emergency Diesel Generators across our fleet. Serving as the subject matter expert for MW sites, you will collaborate with the MA/NE EDG SME. You will apply your engineering expertise to solve complex technical problems and support our nuclear plant operations while guiding and mentoring fellow engineers.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Deliver advanced technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analyses, activities, and programs.
- Provide technical guidance and consultation as a subject matter expert, directly addressing equipment and system issues.
- Exercise engineering and technical leadership over initiatives that impact site operations in both the short and long term.
- Conduct assigned engineering tasks utilizing foundational engineering principles.
- Ensure work accuracy, completeness, and punctuality, maintaining proper configuration management and adherence to established standards and codes.
- Execute independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects and programs.
- Advocate for innovative equipment, concepts, and techniques to enhance performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, rectify design or material flaws, and comply with new regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Mid-Level Engineer
- B.S. in Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Nuclear or related engineering fields.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Senior Engineer
- B.S. in Engineering with at least 5 years of Nuclear or related engineering experience.
- Emergency Diesel Generator experience is HIGHLY Preferred.
- Advanced technical degree or related coursework is a plus.
