This permanent, full-time Mechanical Design Engineer position in Structural Steel is based at a stable, innovative manufacturing facility in Caledonia, Wisconsin. Salary: $70,000.00 - $86,500.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Managing and overseeing several engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Ensuring that all engineering projects adhere to timelines and specifications.
- Designing unique mechanical solutions for metal products, considering both functionality and innovation.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance product designs and applications.
- Mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior engineers and design team members.
- Utilizing advanced design technologies and methodologies to improve efficiency and outcomes.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of two years experience in mechanical design engineering.
- Proven experience in structural metal product design.
- Hands-on experience with metal product fabrication processes.
- Proficient in using AutoCAD and 3D design software for design tasks.
- Adept in both electrical systems and mechanical systems functionalities.
- Strong work history showcasing dedication and career growth.
- Reside within a 45-minute commute to the workplace in Caledonia, Wisconsin.
- Legal authorization to work in the US as a citizen or green card holder.
- Advanced degree or certifications relevant to mechanical or structural engineering.
- Prior leadership or project management experience in engineering projects is highly desirable.
- Experience in government contracting projects or related work is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Experience in sustainable and environmentally conscious design practices.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a knack for precision in design and documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously efficiently.
