Materials Manager

Job Title

Core function: planning and control of work in process to the finished product. An effective materials manager will ensure that available goods can satisfy customer demand, minimize waste, manage inventory levels and keep output in line with the company's balance sheet.

Plan material requirements

Plan production schedules

Plan capacity requirements

Measure operational performance against the plan

Receive and distribute product

Develop or maintain reports, analytics and metrics

Align demand with sourcing activities

Define and execute on physical inventory and/or cycle count policy

Align inventory requirements with sales and operations planning and/or the demand schedule

Train and guide employees

Strong communication skills

Excellent organizational and project management skills

Attention to detail

Creative problem-solving

A strategic and analytical mind

1-3 years' experience in previous management role

Previous experience in materials management + experience working as a production planner and inventory controls will be beneficial in this role

Experience managing teams through ERP systems

Ability to make quick, accurate decisions based on information collected

Demonstrated ability to problem solve

Experience with a ERP implementation

Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $57.70/hr.
