Shiftsmart Launch Team Member

Shiftsmart is building the Amazon of labor. We're a labor platform pairing end-to-end workforce management technology with a rapidly growing global network of 5M flexible workers to create scalable labor solutions for the largest companies and government agencies in the world like Circle K, Pepsi, Walmart, Starbucks and more. Our unique business model fractionalizes jobs down to shifts and makes it easy for workers to work across multiple companies through a digital marketplace. We're one of the fastest-growing startups in the country. We've grown 2-3x each year since we started, paid over $130M in wages to hourly workers, and raised $120M+ from top-tier investors including D1 Capital & Imaginary Ventures and we're only getting started.

Shiftsmart is on a mission to transform hourly work in the US and we're building a team of launchers to help us realize that mission. We are looking for Launch Team members to join us on this adventure as we expand with some of our largest customers, launching new markets across the country.

The Launch team will go into markets ahead of launch to enable our partners, the workers on our platform, to get the most out of our platform and provide our customers with world-class service. This team works in local markets to onboard new workers, prepare them for their first shift, and ensure they have a first-class experience on our platform.

Launch team members should expect the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the year and see the entire country. Team members will spend 2-6 weeks in key markets during each launch phase before moving onto the next launch. Come join our team to be a part of delivering on massive growth!

Note: This role will require ~80% travel

Outcomes: What problems you will solve

  • Preparing New Partners: You will work closely with new partners on the platform to ensure they are capable of executing key tasks related to their shifts. You will ensure they are qualified and prepared to provide top-notch service to our customers and client base.
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert for Partners: You will have specialized knowledge of the onboarding process and be the go-to person for any questions from new partners.
  • Process improvement: Refine the onboarding process by iterating on content and delivery of the orientations and acquisition of workers to ensure they are best prepared for their shift.

  • Team-Oriented: You enjoy guiding and helping others grow in their capabilities and have previous experience coaching, training, or mentoring others. You can engage effectively with hourly workers and put the team's goals first.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills: You are an excellent communicator who can engage with partners in a positive and supportive manner. You can motivate team members through effective training while answering questions as they arise ensuring partners feel valued and confident in their role.
  • Motivated and results-oriented: You are a hard worker who thrives and remains calm in high-speed environments and is motivated by achieving goals and making an impact.

Role requirements: Must have

  • Valid driver's license and have access to a car
  • You are able to travel most weeks, up to ~80% of the time
  • You are able to be on your feet up to 6 hours a day

Compensation philosophy

To provide greater transparency we share base salary ranges, which are based on role and level benchmarked against similar stage, high growth companies. Offers are determined based on multiple factors including skills, work experience, and relevant credentials.
