Job Title: Manufacturing Manager - Leadership in Production & Continuous Improvement
Location: Traverse City, MI
Overview:
A growing manufacturer in the Traverse City area is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead day-to-day production and drive continuous improvement across plant operations. This is a high-impact leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has a passion for team development and process excellence.
You'll oversee production teams, support cross-functional initiatives, and help implement strategies that enhance safety, quality, and output. This role offers hands-on leader who enjoys building strong teams and solving real-world problems on the floor, and the chance to step into a highly visible, long-term leadership path.
What You'll Do:

• Manage production operations across multiple departments or shifts
• Lead, mentor, and coach supervisors and frontline staff
• Implement lean manufacturing and process optimization initiatives
• Ensure KPIs are met for safety, quality, and efficiency
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and maintenance to resolve bottlenecks and drive improvements
• Support plant-level strategic planning and capacity scaling
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance management processes

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing setting
• Background in production, operations, or industrial engineering
• Strong working knowledge of lean manufacturing, safety standards, and KPI management
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced environment
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship
• Bonus: experience with ERP systems, ISO certifications, or capital equipment
