A Day in the Life:
Design and execute cost savings projects across multiple categories of Hertz buy. Working directly with business stakeholders and other sourcing team members develop & execute sourcing projects that deliver continuous cost, performance and process improvement.
The starting salary for this opportunity is $85,000/yr; commensurate with experience.
What Youll Do:
- Design and implement cost savings projects across multiple categories, direct materials, capital equipment, IT, logistics, professional services, MRO, facilities
- Prepare and execute RFPs, review and analyze results, negotiate with suppliers, prepare business case recommendations, and lead the implementation of projects
- Working collaboratively with business stakeholders and team members identify cost and process improvement projects within category groups
- Manage and measure supplier performance against contract, manage supplier performance issues, one off and systemic
- Manage the project pipeline for assigned category, review spend and compliance reports for opportunities
- Perform industry benchmarking and total cost of ownership analysis in support of sourcing teams.
What Were Looking For:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent, MBA preferred
- Professional Qualifications CPSM, CIPS, 6Sigma
- 1-2 years of sourcing experience with a Fortune 500 company, or a large industrial manufacturing company
- Experience in identifying cost reduction and process improvement projects within the supply chain
- Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organizing/time management and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of sourcing or category management processes, global sourcing experience preferred
- Results orientated, excellent analytical, process and problem-solving skills
- Team player with initiative and a positive attitude
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
