Job Summary: Performs Mammography imaging procedures. Positions, moves, and transports patients. Performs clerical duties. Performs all QC and required paperwork for ACR and MQSA-FDA. Assists Radiologist in performance of Biopsies and other procedures. Performs basic patient care within scope of practice and to departmental standards. Responsibility to adhere to the Gordon Hospital Corporate compliance plan, to the rules and regulations of all local, state, and Federal agencies, and to the standards of all accrediting bodies.

The role you'll contribute: Accountable for the daily management and quality of care provided within the mammography department. Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures for the purpose of detecting pathology. Assures responsibilities for the patient flow and all other matters pertaining to patient care, ensures patient and employee safety. Direct patient responsibility for geriatric, adult, and patient care until the patient is returned to his/her room or until outpatient is discharged. The technologist is directly involved in a variety of mammography procedures including stereotactic biopsies, has an extensive experience with available mammography and stereotactic equipment in terms of product evaluation, troubleshooting and quality control.

Qualifications

What you will need?

• Must be a graduate of an accredited radiology program
• Must be a registered Mammography technologist
• ARRT(M)
• BLS
• Prior mammography experience preferred
