Maintenance Operations Manager - UH Truman Medical Center

We're looking for a Maintenance Operations Manager to take the lead in keeping our healthcare campus powered, plumbed, and perfectly maintained. You'll be the go-to expert for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems from the Energy Center to the smallest pipe fitting. In this role, you'll collaborate with our Corporate Director of Facilities and a dynamic team to plan, repair, renovate, and innovate across the entire campus.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Leading and supporting the team responsible for maintaining all campus MEP systems.
• Making sure all preventive maintenance and repairs are done right by the book and by the building code.
• Partnering with our Design & Construction team on renovation and upgrade projects keeping things on track, on budget, and up to code.
• Managing contract service teams and ensuring their work meets our high standards.
• Keeping meticulous records using our work order system (TMS), so we know what was done, when, and by whom.
• Staying in sync with safety, regulatory, and accreditation standards (CMS, TJC, etc.).
• Using your expertise and leadership to make our facilities safer, smarter, and more efficient every day.

What You Bring to the Table:

Must-Haves:

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or equivalent work experience that shows you know your stuff.
• 5+ years of experience in facilities/engineering management or complex building operations.
• Solid understanding of MEP systems and building codes.
• Skilled in managing teams and juggling priorities without breaking a sweat.
• Great communicator written, spoken, and with a knack for explaining technical stuff in plain English.
• Comfortable using maintenance software (like TMS), purchasing systems, and CAD.
• If driving is part of the job, you'll need to meet our Fleet Driving Safety requirements.

Bonus Points For:

• Experience in a healthcare or hospital setting (or the willingness to learn the ropes fast).
• Familiarity with CMS and TJC accreditation standards.
