Overview

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

To perform basic, routine maintenance and keep the property clean and safe.

Responsibilities

  Assist in supervision of community service workers

  Demonstrate experience providing resourceful solutions to resolve problems

  General maintenance duties

  n
n
• n

  Room set-ups

  n
n
• n

  Maintain all storage areas

  n
n
• n

  Inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies

  n
n
• n

  Mopping, sweeping and buffing of floors

  n
n
• n

  Lawn maintenance

  n
n
• n

  Clearing snow from sidewalks in winter and putting down snow melt

  n
n
• n

  Ability to make food pick-ups

  n
n
• n

  Assist with security of Corps property

  n
n
• n

  Assist with seasonal programs as needed

  n
n
• n

  Schedule and transport vehicles for oil changes and other necessary maintenance

  n
n
• n

  Assist in maintenance of officer quarters as needed

  n
n
• n

  Cleaning Chapel weekly

  n
n

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• n

  High School Diploma/GED

  n
n
• n

  Maintenance Experience

  n
n

SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

n
• n

  Ability to stand for 3-4 hours at a time

  n
n
• n

  Ability to lift, pull and carry up to and in excess of 60 pounds

  n
n
• n

  Have a valid Ohio Driver’s license

  n
n
• n

  Ability to pass OTIS test and drive 12-passenger van

  n
n
• n

  Be insurable by The Salvation Army
