Machine Designer

Selectek is seeking a Machine Designer with sheet metal design experience to create custom bakery equipment from concept to fabrication. The ideal candidate will be proficient in SolidWorks Sheet Metal, comfortable working independently, and have experience in machine or conveyor design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design custom bakery equipment (including conveyors) from concept to production.
• Work with sheet metal and utilize the SolidWorks Sheet Metal module.
• Create detailed BOMs and ensure design accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure fabrication feasibility.
• Participate in facility tours and SolidWorks testing as part of the interview process.
• Work independently while coordinating with a team of 7 designers.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of machine design experience (Senior-level candidates also considered).
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, specifically Sheet Metal module.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and BOM creation.
• Experience in conveyor design is a plus.
• Self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• No degree requiredcandidates with hands-on design experience are encouraged to apply.

Additional Details:

• Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM.
• Work Environment: On-site only, no remote work.
• Interview Process: Includes a SolidWorks test and a facility tour.
• Sponsorship: Not available.

Location: York, PA Employment Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $60K - $100K (Higher salaries considered for strong candidates)
