The Opportunity

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking experienced OB/GYN Hospitalists to support the launch of a brand-new hospitalist program at a large regional medical center in Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

This high-visibility start-up program requires dynamic physicians who thrive in team-based environments and can deliver exceptional inpatient OB/GYN care. Providers will enjoy flexible scheduling, 24-hour shifts, and comprehensive perinatal resources in a Level III NICU facility.

Program Snapshot

• Hospital Size: 266 Beds | 13 Labor Beds

• Annual Deliveries: ~2,160

• Shift Times: 24-hour in-house (8:00 AM handoff)

• MD/APP Coverage: 1 physician 24/7 (day and night)

• Anesthesia: 24/7 in-house coverage

• Neonatology: 24/7 in-house (Level III NICU)

• EMR: EPIC

Clinical Scope

• Care of unassigned OB/GYN patients

• Triage assessments for all unassigned patients

• Obstetric admissions, labor management, deliveries, postpartum rounding & discharges

• Inpatient & ER consults

• Assist with emergent GYN surgeries (with surgical backup provided)

• Supervise Certified Nurse Midwives in hospital setting (if applicable)

• Manage maternal transfers in collaboration with MFM team

• Assist with C-sections alongside community clinicians

• Engage & collaborate with community OB/GYN physicians for shared patient care

• Call coverage for community providers post-go-live phase (after first 3 months)

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certification: OB/GYN (BC/BE)

• Licensure: Active Maryland License or IMLC-approved

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP (Required)
• Experience: Minimum 3 years recent OB/GYN hospitalist experience preferred
