Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Telemetry / Med-Surg

Location: Gainesville, FL
Shift: 12-Hour Variable Shifts (Days or Nights; Rotating Weekends)
Employment Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients upon admission and throughout each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in condition.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic responses, and address any adverse reactions appropriately.
• Perform procedures and monitor patient status as ordered by the healthcare provider, documenting all care accurately in the medical record.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on diagnoses, treatment plans, and medications, ensuring complete understanding.
• Provide compassionate, responsive care by anticipating patient needs and addressing them promptly.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to promote patient safety, optimal recovery, and a positive patient experience.
• Maintain compliance with all healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN Diploma or higher).
• Licensure: Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Florida or Compact License.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience (within the last 4 years).
• Certifications:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – required within 90 days of hire.

Schedule Details:

• Full-Time | 36 hours per week.
• Shift Options: Days or Nights (rotating weekends required).
• Opportunity for overtime and additional shifts as needed.
