Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Tax Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will oversee tax reporting and compliance, provide strategic tax planning, and ensure adherence to tax regulations. This role is critical in helping the organization minimize tax liabilities while maximizing compliance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and review the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns including 1120 and 1120S forms.
Develop tax strategies and planning initiatives to optimize the company's tax position.
Conduct tax research and analysis to address complex tax issues and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Lead tax audits and coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities as necessary.
Supervise and mentor junior tax staff, providing guidance and support in tax-related matters.
Stay current with changes in tax legislation and assess the impact on the organization.
Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and accounting, to ensure accuracy in tax reporting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in tax management or public accounting.
Experience with tax compliance for corporations, including knowledge of 1120 and 1120S forms.
Familiarity with tax regulations specific to the construction and manufacturing industries is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
