Licensing Associate

The Licensing Associate (LA) works with the Renewal Specialist (RS) and Partner Connection Manager (PCM) to secure the customers renewal agreement on time, helping to identify licensing up sell and cross sell opportunities, aligned to the customer need. The LA will work with the RS to understand the customer licensing position by reviewing their existing licensing portfolio.

The Role of the Licensing Associate (LA) Manager is to provide guideline and leader the LICENSING CONSULTANCY & DEAL CONSTRUCT SUPPORT team for selected Commercial Volume licensing programs (as indicated by Microsoft) including but not limited to: Enterprise Agreements (EA, EAS, SCE), Open program (OLP, OV, OVS) Microsoft Products and Services Agreement (MPSA) New Commerce agreement (CSP, MCA-E). OSPA (China).

Coordinates with the team to align with Vendor Renewal Specialist (RS) & Vendor Partner Connection Manager (PCM), the LA charter is to secure the customers renewal agreement on time, identifying up sell and cross sell opportunities aligned to the customer needs. It is also to sell new customers' agreements based on demand triggers. This is done by working with the LA Team to: Know the customer's business & licensing scenario. Know the customer's stakeholders & timelines. Identify the potential up-sell and cross-sell scenarios for that customer. Prepare the value proposition for these scenarios with the RS. Leverage Microsoft resources such as Deal books and Solution assessment workshop. Gather what the customer wants to achieve as business outcomes now and in future. Migrate customers to other Microsoft programs where possible, Ensure that customers are delighted by Microsoft products and services.

Key essentials:

1+ years Licensing experience with proven track record of success is must. In-depth understanding of Microsoft Commercial VL licensing programs particularly EA, MPSA, MCA & CSP High school diploma Advance English (C1) Knowledge and experience of Microsoft or other Cloud and Online Services solutions. Experience working with & understanding negotiations in licensing contracts. Positive attitude: Collaborative, leadership skills. Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to distill complex thoughts and strategies into simple, actionable recommendation. Passion for working with Microsoft technology and accredited partners. Experienced in establishing trusted advisor/strategic consultant relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders. Able to help customers make the best choices in tough macroeconomic environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

Indepth understanding of Microsoft commercial VL licensing programs particulatly EA, MPSA, MCA and CSP Knowledge of Microsoft or other Cloud and Online Service Solutions. Demonstrate speed, agility, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills with an ability to ramp up quickly Proactively communicate to clients on progress and proactively identify areas where clients can improve on how they use our solutions Experience in establishing trusted advisor/ strategic consultant relarionships with a vide variety of internal and external stakeholders. IT environment experience preferred Bachelor's degree preferred.
