About the Role:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Bethesda, you will provide essential nursing care, participating actively in the assessment and ongoing monitoring of residents' conditions. Your insightful communication with the interdisciplinary team is key to ensuring residents receive optimal care. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting thorough assessments and documenting significant changes in residents' health conditions.
• Participating in the care planning process and updating care plans as necessary.
• Implementing nursing interventions, including medication administration and treatments, in a timely manner.
• Utilizing critical thinking and communication tools like SBARR when notifying physicians of changes in conditions.
• Maintaining professionalism during crises and monitoring care delivery to ensure the effectiveness of the care plan.
• Providing assistance with residents' daily activities and addressing calls for help.
• Completing ongoing nursing education to stay current with best practices.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program resulting in LPN licensure.
• Current LPN license required in your state.
• CPR and AED certification mandatory, or willingness to obtain within six months.
• IV certification required, or willingness to obtain within six months.
• Prior experience in long-term care is preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Physical capability to lift and assist patients, and push/pull equipment.
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity are essential.
• Ability to perform necessary documentation electronically and in writing.

Pay Range: $26.96 - $43.25 per hour
