Licensed Masters Mental Health Professional for Adults and Children

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Masters Mental Health Professional to provide exceptional mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services for both adult and child clients. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, psychiatric and allied health professionals to create and implement individualized treatment programs tailored to each member's unique mental health needs.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical treatment programs for Health Plan members experiencing a range of mental health conditions. Facilitate staff conferences to select, plan, and assess treatment strategies. Provide psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Instruct and counsel patients and their families on compliance with treatment regimens and medication adherence, ensuring appropriate support is offered. Conduct psychoeducational classes and support groups as needed.
• Prepare and maintain thorough documentation, including intake summaries, treatment plans, and case summaries, while adhering to state regulations and professional standards.
• Collaborate with physicians for psychotropic medication evaluations and utilize community resources to enhance member treatment. Offer consultations to other health providers regarding mental health and behavioral medicine.
• Supervise Post Masters Fellows, Associate Clinical Social Workers, Associate Marriage Family Therapists, or Associate Professional Clinical Counselors when applicable.
• Provide guidance to family members, explaining treatment options and interventions to foster understanding and acceptance of care plans.
• Utilize resources from public and private entities to ensure comprehensive care for members, including appropriate referrals.
• Report safety concerns to mandated agencies as required.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience

• N/A

Education

• Master's degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

License, Certification, Registration

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California) OR
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California) OR
• Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) AND Couples and Families Endorsement (California) within 24 months of hiring.
• National Provider Identifier required upon hire.

Additional Requirements:

• Familiar with DSM-V for diagnostic purposes and experienced in assessing and treating various psychiatric conditions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations, and professional standards.
• Understanding of Evidence-Based Practices and mental health functions.
• Ability to develop accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
• Demonstrated competence in individual, family, and group psychotherapy.
• Commitment to high-quality service and teamwork within a collaborative clinical environment.
• Ability to manage multiple objectives efficiently.
• Willingness to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous post-license experience in a psychiatric treatment setting under licensed supervision.
• Experience in crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy.
• Demonstrated ethical integrity and commitment to service quality and teamwork.
• Strong ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and accurately assess treatment needs.
