Leidos is actively seeking a Lead for Data Operations and Development to guide the creation and delivery of vital reports, dashboards, and advanced analytics for our Federal Government clients. Utilize your expertise in leading a team of data specialists to fulfill both day-to-day and strategic data needs that support initiatives of national significance.

This role is fully remote, but candidates must reside in the Washington D.C. metro area to facilitate client meetings.

In this role, you will:

• Engage with business stakeholders to comprehend ongoing and upcoming data requirements.
• Build relationships across all organizational levels, gaining a deep understanding of business context.
• Collaborate with the primary client to prioritize daily activities and manage task assignments using Agile methodologies.
• Lead the analytics team to drive full data lifecycle activities, including the development of new capabilities.
• Oversee daily operations to ensure commitments to stakeholders are consistently met.
• Establish and coordinate Agile development practices, including Program Increment Planning.
• Manage design, development, and deployment of data solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Coordinate support with infrastructure, network teams, vendors, and government service providers.
• Commit to continuous learning to propose innovative approaches and solutions for client needs.
• Implement best practices in cloud data infrastructure, data architecture, quality, and governance.
• Work with clients to maintain a technical roadmap incorporating the latest tools and technologies.
• Ensure effective project knowledge management and documentation.
• Facilitate training and knowledge transfer to the client’s data management team and users.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 12+ years of related experience.
• 8+ years of experience leading a Microsoft Azure cloud-based data analytics team.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively.
• Experience leading a team of data specialists including business analysts, data architects, and engineers.
• Expertise in delivering enterprise-scale cloud data solutions such as reports and dashboards.
• Experience with Azure native services for data engineering and analytics.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack (Power BI, SQL Server, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS).
• Ability to use data query and reporting tools like SSMS and SQL query tools.
• Understanding of Azure services-based architecture for delivering data solutions.
• Experience managing Agile development and operations with a diverse team.
• Knowledge of AI/ML solutions and their application in data analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent multitasking and follow-through abilities.
• Must possess the ability to obtain a government-issued Public Trust clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.

Desired Qualifications:

• Certifications in Power BI and Microsoft Azure data analytics.
• Experience with Generative AI and AI/ML technologies.
• Background in data governance, including catalogs and metadata management.
• Familiarity with Design Thinking and Human-Centered Design.

Pay Range: $126,100.00 - $227,950.00
