The position is located in Lenexa, KS, Oak Ridge, TN, or Lone Tree, CO.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership :

  • Lead and oversee engineering teams across disciplines (mechanical, piping, structural, civil, electrical).
  • Provide direction and mentorship to engineers and subconsultants to ensure successful project execution.

• Strategic Market Development :

  • Identify DOE and commercial nuclear market opportunities, key clients, partners, and risks.
  • Define bidding strategies and set annual bid/award revenue targets.
  • Analyze market trends to guide strategic direction and potential service expansion.

• Client Engagement :

  • Maintain consistent engagement with key client decision-makers, teaming partners, and affiliate organizations.
  • Lead technical meetings and discussions to build trust and align on project goals.

• Capture & Proposal Support :

  • Collaborate with proposal and marketing teams to develop winning deliverables (proposals, brochures, presentations).
  • Contribute to positioning efforts for key project pursuits by identifying technical differentiators.

Qualifications

• Education & Experience :

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related technical field.
  • 1520+ years of progressively complex experience in managing multidisciplinary engineering projects and business development within the nuclear market.
  • Proven success in developing new business tied to major nuclear facility construction.

• Strategic & Technical Expertise :

  • Deep understanding of design engineering processes specific to nuclear facilities.
  • Ability to develop commercial strategies and transactions typical for nuclear design engineering.
  • Skilled in analyzing market data to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.

• Leadership & Communication :

  • Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective interface with internal departments, senior management, clients, and government representatives.
  • Experience coordinating with proposal and marketing teams to produce strategic deliverables.

• Client & Market Engagement :

  • Active engagement with key clients, teaming partners, and affiliate organizations.
  • Ability to identify addressable markets, target opportunities, and define bidding strategies.

• Other Requirements :

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen to support nuclear solutions.
  • Flexible schedule with ability to travel as needed to meet client and opportunity demands.

Base Compensation: $201,000/yr - $211,000/yr (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
