The RN Director Of Advanced Illness Management (AIM) will report directly to the AVP of Advanced Illness Management. You will:

1. Be responsible for the overall clinical and financial operations of the Advanced Illness Management Program.
2. Establish, implement, and evaluate goals and objectives for advanced illness management that meet and promote high standards of quality clinical care and sound financial success.
3. Meet growth and development targets, both clinically and financially, at the branch level.
4. Manage all expenditures in a fiscally responsible manner in accordance with the Company's budget.
5. Be responsible for the employment of qualified palliative care personnel and the provision of palliative care services and the delegation and coordination of branch personnel evaluations.
6. Establish and maintain standards of high-quality care and customer service in compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines.
7. May provide skilled professional nursing care to patients as prescribed by the MD/NP and in compliance with regulations by the State Board of Registered Nursing and company policies.
8. Assess callers' symptoms and needs and advises in basic treatment.
9. Provide education or support to patient's/families/caregivers.
10. Collaborate with Nurse Practitioner, PCP, and/or Medical Director to address patient needs.

About You

Registered Nurse Director / RN Director Requirements:

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, problem solving, decision-making, assertiveness, presentation and communication skills required.
• Knowledge of seriously ill patients and their families and understanding of palliative care and the ability to apply knowledge to the special needs of palliative care patients.
• Meets mandatory continuing education requirements of Gentiva and licensing board.
• Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices.
• Some Travel may be required as requested.

Education/Experience:

• Registered Nurse with Home Health, Hospice and/or Palliative Care Experience preferred
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Business Administration or related field; or equivalent experience and knowledge in Health Care Operations required.
• Master's degree in business or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years health care administration/operations management required
• Two or more years' experience in home care or hospice required (if also functioning as the Clinical Nursing Supervisor for the office location). Experience could also be as Clinical Director, Hospice Director, Director of Nursing (DON), RN Administrator, Executive Director.
• Certified in Hospice and Palliative Care - preferred
• Prior experience with budgetary responsibilities including budget development and monitoring required.
• Understanding of Medicare/Medicaid, Commercial insurance billing and reimbursement, and value-based care.

Training/Equipment:

• Fluent competence in computer and smart phone navigation.
• Working knowledge of, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Must have and maintain reliable transportation to be used for work. Must have and maintain current automobile insurance and valid driver's license.
