Investment Banking Associate (Financial Sponsors)

Location: San Francisco, CA

A leading global investment bank is seeking an Associate to join its growing Financial Sponsors coverage team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with private equity clients across a wide range of strategic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, restructurings, and capital raises in both public and private markets.

The ideal candidate will gain deep exposure to sponsor-backed dealmaking and play a key role in executing complex transactions across Technology.

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum 1+ years of investment banking experience , preferably in tech coverage, leverage finance, or financial sponsors
• Strong analytical and technical skills, with proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, LBO analysis, and deal structuring .
• Experience preparing pitch books, CIMs, board materials, and management presentations .
• Solid foundation in accounting, corporate finance, and market trends .
• Exceptional communication skills , both written and verbal, with a strong executive presence.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams, collaborate cross-functionally, and thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• A high level of professionalism, attention to detail , and strong work ethic.
