Internship Details

• Duration : 11 weeks, full-time

• Dates of Internship : June 1, 2026 - August 14, 2026

• Location : Indianapolis, IN

• Compensation : Paid internship; relocation assistance available for qualified candidates

• Eligibility : Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2026 through June 2028 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply.

About the Team:

The intern will join Labcorp’s Core Lab team in Indianapolis—a high-impact department composed of experienced laboratory operational leaders, scientists, and medical laboratory professionals. This team plays a critical role in supporting clinical trials by performing medical laboratory testing on patient samples. Their work directly informs healthcare decisions and contributes to the development of life-changing therapies. Interns will be immersed in a collaborative, science-driven environment where quality and patient impact are at the heart of everything we do.

Internship Assignment Summary:

• Collaborate with Core Lab team members to develop and refine tools for tracking clinical trial samples that are pending test result reporting

• Analyze current workflows and contribute to process improvements that enhance pending sample resolution and improve turn around times

• Participate in cross-functional meetings and training sessions to gain exposure to clinical trial operations, laboratory systems, and regulatory standards

Education/Qualifications/Skills:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, Analytics, or Informatics, or a related discipline

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and data accuracy

• Familiarity with laboratory workflows, clinical research, or sample tracking systems is a plus

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders

• Embraces diverse perspectives through partnerships and teamwork
