Install Technician

As an Install Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the installation of high-quality stone countertops, ensuring precise positioning and secure attachment to surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Support the installation of stone countertops by carrying them into place, accurately positioning them, and securing them to cabinets or supports.
• Learn and apply proper techniques for handling and maneuvering stone slabs to ensure safe and efficient installation.
• Prepare job sites by ensuring all necessary tools, materials, and equipment are readily available.
• Assist in measuring and confirming dimensions to ensure countertops fit properly in their designated spaces.
• Inspect countertops during installation to verify they meet quality standards and match customer specifications.
• Help make adjustments or corrections as directed by senior installers.
• Communicate professionally with customers during installations, providing assistance and answering basic questions about the installation process.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures related to installation practices and customer interactions.

Essential Skills

• Experience with installation, construction, assembly, and carpentry.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform general labor tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions from senior installers.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills in the field of stone countertop installation.
• Physical ability to perform tasks requiring standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting heavy materials.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Work will be around the Fargo Moorhead Area, with exposure to dust particles and varying weather conditions. Must be able to wear a respirator or facemask when necessary. The noise level may be high when working with install tools. The shift is Monday to Friday, 7am to 4:30pm, with occasional overtime and overnight travel.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moorhead, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
