Infrastructure Project Manager

This is an on-site role in St. Louis, MO. We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Project Manager to lead and deliver complex IT infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a proactive and experienced professional with a strong background in data center operations, network infrastructure, and hardware asset management. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams to support critical IT tools and systems, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis. For our W2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance. Rate: $40-50/hr. W2.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation through implementation.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans using Microsoft Project.
Coordinate cross-functional teams and provide day-to-day direction to project resources.
Establish and maintain effective communication with stakeholders and project teams.
Ensure adherence to project governance and change management processes.
Track project performance, manage risks, and resolve issues to ensure successful delivery.
Prepare and present project documentation, status reports, and budget updates.
Support internal teams focused on hardware, tools (e.g., Webex), and asset management.

Qualifications

5+ years of project management experience in IT infrastructure environments.
Proven experience managing complex, non-transactional projects.
Strong background in data center operations and network infrastructure.
Familiarity with PMO standards and governance frameworks.
Hands-on experience with ticketing systems; Cherwell knowledge is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, and Word.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

Experience supporting internal IT teams and managing infrastructure tools.
Ability to build and manage detailed schedules in MS Project.
Demonstrated success in managing governance and change-heavy projects.
