Industrial Engineer

A client of Insight Global is seeking two experienced Industrial Engineers to support a series of discrete process improvement projects within their Operations Department. These are temporary contract roles (initially 6 months with potential for extension) focused on executing targeted initiatives that have been delayed due to competing development priorities. The role involves leading and executing medium-scale continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency within a low-volume, high-mix job shop environment. Engineers will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks, implement process enhancements, and deliver measurable results. Each team member will manage a portion of approximately 20 projects, applying lean principles, root cause analysis, and data-driven strategies to optimize workflows and reduce waste. Regular updates on progress, risks, and outcomes will be shared with stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.

5-10+ year of experience with process improvement within manufacturing/industrial engineering
Low volume high mix job shop environment
