Join Leidos' innovative Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) team as an Electrical Engineer supporting our advanced ProVision checkpoint products. The ProVision is recognized globally as the premier personnel scanner, found in airports around the world. We are looking for a dynamic individual excited to contribute to next-generation developments.

Your role will involve the research, design, and development of cutting-edge electrical systems, particularly in the X-K/Ka band RF spectrum. Key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting experiments and evaluating results related to radar detection, radio, circuitry, and control/test equipment.
• Performing comprehensive analyses including cost, risk, supportability, and performance assessment for electrical systems.
• Leading electrical requirements and functional analysis, along with technical management and quality assurance processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Document system functions and define integration interfaces for testing and quality assurance.
• Develop a structured engineering roadmap for product tasks and activities.
• Coordinate across engineering teams for alignment and integration throughout product development.
• Mentor junior engineers while collaborating with senior team members on the design process.
• Design and optimize electrical systems for power, communication, and sensing applications.
• Develop circuit designs to support various products, ensuring thorough testing and optimization.
• Create fabrication designs for PCB boards that meet product specifications.
• Plan and oversee FPGA firmware development aligned with product needs.

Basic Qualifications:

• BS in a relevant field (such as electrical engineering or physics) with 12-15 years of experience, or a Master's with 10-13 years, or a Doctorate in a technical domain. Additional experience may substitute for formal education.
• Minimum of five years as a HW Systems Design Engineer with expertise in X-Ka RF bands.
• Must be a US person capable of obtaining a Public Trust clearance.
• Experience leading technical teams and mentoring junior engineers in a collaborative environment.
• Proven experience from concept to market delivery in designing and testing hardware sensing products.
• Familiarity with FCC testing requirements and spectrum allocation.
• Strong understanding of diverse RF system architectures.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with synthetic aperture technology.
• Basic Linux proficiency.
