Industrial Engineer

Selectek has an immediate need to hire an Industrial Engineer for a client in Fort Payne, AL.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Drives continuous improvement activities through the Kaizen philosophy.
2. Drive continuous improvement to support waste reduction, IPPM, scrap, downtime and other lean manufacturing metrics.
3. Identify process improvements, including cost benefit analysis and ROI
4. Support the analysis of downtime data and provide opportunities for increased productivity through improvement activities.
5. Support Production improvements by working with outside suppliers and Maintenance Dept.
6. Develop labor calculations and capacity planning models to allow efficient managing of resources and production bottlenecks.
7. Perform elemental time studies of process.
8. Draft & design layout of equipment, materials and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency utilizing AutoCAD.
9. Provide regular and timely report to senior management on program status and critical issues.
10. Must understand the mechanics of plant equipment for processing, testing and inspecting product components/assembly as well as understand quality/manufacturing/engineering methods and practices.
11. Develop quote models for new programs including labor and equipment cost.
12. Validate new programs packaging design proposal and track seamless implementation.
13. Design innovative packaging concepts to eliminate potential part damage during internal transportation and reduce capital costs and expenses.
14. Implement action plans necessary to meet the goals and objectives of department.
15. Promote an atmosphere of team work at all times
16. Ensure that a clean and safe work environment is always maintained
17. Complete any other duties as assigned
18. Assist in any way to any employee, necessary to promote a successful operation emphasizing customer satisfaction
19. Ensure that all employees receive proper training and understand all job tasks

Required:

Must have 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering environment, automation, automotive industry.

Pay Rate:

$85,000 - $100,000 (depending on experience)
