Overview
For ICC Surgical Technologist program students.
The Education Stipend will be issued as a one-time payment of $17,500 and will be considered taxable income.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Surgical Technologist provides care for patients across the life span based on physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety, appropriate to the age of the person. Primarily performs duties of scrub person throughout the intra-operative phase of care. Recognizes significant conditions and reactions and notifies the RN, Charge Nurse, Anesthesia provider and/or the physician of the patient's condition. Adheres to a high standard of patient safety principles and aseptic and sterile techniques. Follows and understands the standards and recommended practices according to the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN) and Association of Surgical Technologist. (AST).
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:High School Diploma or GED, Must be enrolled in ICC's Surgical Technologist program.
