IBM Iseries Developer RPGLE, Synon (COOL:2E)
As an IBM iSeries Developer RPGLE, Synon (COOL:2E), you will make an impact by developing and supporting complex AS/400 applications in a healthcare environment. You will be a valued member of the Technology & Engineering team and work collaboratively with offshore teams, client stakeholders, and internal leads to deliver high-quality solutions.
In this role, you will: lead hands-on development using RPGLE, RPG, CLLE, Synon2/E (COOL:2E), and COBOL in an IBM iSeries (AS/400) environment. Coordinate with offshore teams to clarify requirements, explain functionality, and ensure quality deliverables. Collaborate with onsite client technical leads and managers on development activities and project planning. Review and approve project artifacts such as design documents, test plans, and test results. Support QA teams by resolving queries and ensuring test readiness. Assist in deployment validation and support across various environments. Ensure compliance with project standards and documentation requirements.

What you need to have to be considered:
Minimum 7 years of application development experience in RPG, RPGLE, CLLE, and Synon2/E (COOL:2E). Deep understanding of AS/400 (IBM iSeries) application development. 7 years of recent experience leading concurrent technical projects Experience working with RxClaim systems in a healthcare or PBM environment. Proven ability to coordinate with offshore teams and manage requirement clarifications. Experience reviewing and creating technical documentation and test artifacts. Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
These will help you stand out:
Familiarity with deployment processes and validation in AS/400 environments. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines. Knowledge of healthcare domain standards and compliance requirements.

Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $65,447 to $117,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
