Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to join our team, focusing on covering IPS Schools. This role involves significant travel to client sites, primarily around the Marion County area, with no overnight travel required. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with engineers on the startup and commissioning of customer systems in electronic, electrical, and pneumatic domains.

Responsibilities

• Travel to client sites, covering 70% of the work primarily within the Marion County area.
• Collaborate with engineers on the startup and commissioning of customer systems.
• Follow and update drawing packages as needed.
• Set up workstations with all necessary software.
• Communicate with project managers regarding project updates and timelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during startup and maintenance.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read blueprints.
• Mechanical and electrical experience.
• Willingness to learn.
• Ability to travel to customer sites, data centers, and installations.
• Strong customer service and field service skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in troubleshooting mechanical or electrical equipment.

Work Environment

The role requires being onsite at various customer locations, data centers, and schools. While there is an office in Muncie, IN, visits are rare. The position provides a company truck, tools, computer, and phone. You will occasionally work with other technicians on larger projects, but the majority of work is performed independently. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $36.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
