We're currently partnering with our client in the manufacturing industry to support their search for a Human Resources Generalist . This individual will play a key role in day-to-day HR operations, ensuring compliance, supporting employee lifecycle processes, and acting as a liaison between staff and leadership. It's an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a structured, people-driven environment and brings a balance of administrative, compliance, and employee relations experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate new hire onboarding , orientation, and completion of employment documentation
- Maintain and update the HRIS , ensuring data integrity and alignment with payroll
- Support recruitment efforts , including job postings, initial applicant review, and EEO tracking
- Oversee maintenance of employee files and records in compliance with company policy and confidentiality regulations
- Serve as point of contact for benefits coordination , including open enrollment and broker communications
- Assist with union communications and documentation ; participate in bargaining sessions as needed
- Manage and track employee paperwork related to leaves of absence, workers' comp, COBRA, and employment verifications
- Monitor organizational compliance with state/federal employment regulations and site-specific legal posting requirements
- Provide administrative support to senior leadership on HR documents, reporting, and manual updates
- Help coordinate employee wellness initiatives and engagement programs in partnership with benefits providers
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
- Minimum 5 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Proficient in HRIS systems (Paylocity a plus) and Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of employment law , benefits administration, and onboarding processes
- Prior experience in a unionized environment is a strong plus
- Strong communication, organizational, and confidentiality skills
