Job Description

Select Medical Rehabilitation

Salary: $50K-$65K (based on experience)

Responsibilities

Position Overview

The HR Coordinator supports the department by managing daily Human Resources functions. They will handle confidential and administrative HR services and serve as a primary resource for employee HR concerns.

Additional Duties

• Maintain and update employee files, HR grid, and tracking systems
• Prepare and manage new hire packets and ensure accurate onboarding
• Ensure compliance with federal and state posting, filing, and procedural requirements
• Manage incoming mail and correspondence, escalating urgent matters as needed
• Support bi-weekly payroll processing in coordination with corporate payroll
• Assist in recruitment processes aligned with hospital plans
• Address employee concerns proactively and coordinate investigations with HR management
• Manage workers compensation claims and return-to-work programs
• Handle unemployment requests, FMLA, and leave of absence processing
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism with sensitive information

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR-related applications

Preferred Experience

• Two or more years in Human Resources, preferably in healthcare, with exposure to Joint Commission and CMS standards
• Knowledge of benefit administration, payroll, and employment laws
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
